Job Summary
The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, building, deploying, and maintaining the IT infrastructure using the latest technology. The IT infrastructure engineer ensures all the IT systems can support the business needs. Also support and develop specific platforms and will concentrate on unifying communications, messaging, and identity toward a seamless user experience.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Provide analysis of performance, integration, resiliency and security requirements of new systems
• Assist to develop the infrastructure architecture blueprint and be involved in building an investment
• Plan based on the blueprint.
• Assist in ensuring that architecture blueprints adhere to Group Standards and Frameworks
• Provide Performance Standards and Best Practices be adopted
• Conduct a full Infrastructure Assessment of EOL/EOS Equipment, Virtualization Opportunities and
• Recommendations, Cloudification Recommendations (Private/Hybrid/Public), Digital Services.
• Provision of infrastructure design and consultancy services for new infrastructure systems.
• Assist in the production of high-level and low-level designs for new infrastructure systems
• Assist in the production of strategic road maps and technical project plans as required
• Provision of ITIL-based policies and procedures as required
• Advising the project management team on technical planning matters
• Advising the development teams on new technologies and system requirements
• Maintaining awareness of new hardware and software developments relevant to the existing and
• envisaged enterprise architecture
• Evaluation of new hardware/software products and techniques relevant to the infrastructure
• environment.
• Assisting with the implementation of new systems as required
• Offering guidance and support to engineering staff as required
Qualification and Experience • 5 years of equivalent work experience in IT related work
• ITIL V3+ Foundation certification
• Certification in Azure Infrastructure
• Windows servers server management experience
• BSc in relevant subjects such as: Computer science or related studies
• Windows Server 2016 up to 2022 Cluster management experience
• Server and network administration experience
• Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware VCenter,
• HyperV Manager)
• Knowledge of operational and application security
• Advanced Cloud Computing experience e.g., Intune, Azure AD, Hybrid
• environment
• Proficiency with network hardware and technologies
• Proficiency with shared storage technologies
• Proficiency with Microsoft operating systems
