| Job Summary | We are looking for a Backup admin to Join our team. The Backup admin with be responsible for Operating, maintaining and optimizing the backup environment. |
| Core Responsibilities | ● Maintains and monitors backup servers
● Performs daily routine maintenance, review Backup status ● Ensures regular reporting to management regarding performance and service levels of Backup systems, to inform responsible management about major deviations and/or corrective actions ● Support and maintain SAN environments ● Generate periodic reports of system availability to management and external teams ● Identify and work with other groups to coordinate application interdependencies and resolve issues ● Evaluate, recommend, and implement strategies for growth and scalability ● Implementing changes in the Backup environment |
| Qualification and Experience | ● Minimum of 5-7 years IT experience managing deployment of technology components in a specific technical discipline: clients, servers, storage, web platforms, database platforms, security, networks, or communications ideally with a mix of skills that include technical architectures, engineering and operations experience
● Strong knowledge on backup software technologies ● Skilled in all TSM functions, such as TSM server installation, configuration and administration, scripting & custom-select queries ● Knowledge of overall backup and storage design and related issues ● Good understanding of External Disk Arrays, RAID array controllers and their management ● Knowledge on storage hardware technologies, such as Hitachi HUS-VM, IBM v3700, EMC VNX
